South Australian emergency response company Emergency Service Group (ESG) has been announced as the naming rights sponsor of the Australian Prototype Series for its upcoming round at The Bend Motorsport Park, supporting the V8 Supercars event from 11–15 September.
Founded in 2023 by Michael Yialas, ESG specialises in emergency response, safety, health, labour hire and nationally recognised training, providing emergency response officers, paramedics, registered nurses and specialist trainers to high-risk mining and industrial environments across South Australia.
The partnership represents an important step in Michael's vision to bring ESG's expertise into motorsport, developing specialist medical, emergency response, rescue and safety services for circuits, teams and officials.
Michael will also compete in the round himself in the #33 Wolf GB08 Thunder,
powered by an Aprilia 1000cc engine, representing ESG Motorsport with support from Adelaide-based Andrawos Auto-Sport.
Emergency Service Group Founder and CEO Michael Yialas said the partnership was an important step in his vision for ESG's future in motorsport.
"ESG's core business is keeping people safe in high-risk environments, and motorsport presents another environment where specialist emergency response and safety capability is critical," said Michael Yialas, Founder and CEO of Emergency Service Group.
"Our involvement in the Australian Prototype Series allows us to be part of the sport, understand its needs from the inside and develop our vision for providing specialist emergency, medical and rescue capability to motorsport."
The Australian Prototype Series is a national category featuring lightweight, high-performance prototype race cars powered by a range of engines, including 1000cc motorcycle-based powerplants.
For Michael, the ESG Motorsport program is not simply about competing. It is the first step in establishing a long-term presence for Emergency Service Group within Australian motorsport.
